We create space for people to be seen and heard through innovative storytelling, and are firmly invested in bringing marginalized communities and crucial issues to the forefront.

  • Madeline Moitozo

    (she./her/hers)

    FOUNDER & CEO

    Through her career in journalism, communications and global development, Madeline has shed light on important issues and underrepresented communities around the world. She has been a writer and producer for MSNBC and VICE, and her editorial work has appeared in Al Jazeera, Forbes, France24, Teen Vogue, and the UN Dispatch. Madeline worked internationally in West Africa and Asia for both small nonprofits and government agencies helping to foster diplomacy and empower local communities before founding Juniper Media in 2019. She holds a master’s in International Affairs from Milano School of Policy, Management and Environment at The New School with a focus on human rights and media.

  • Karin Vandraiss

    COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIST & EDITORIAL PRODUCER

    A journalist by training, Karin has more than a decade of experience in editorial with a strong background in narrative storytelling, custom content, and executive-level communications. She has written for more than a dozen outlets, managed multiple publications and branded content initiatives, and worked in the nonprofit space as lead writer for a global education organization. Today, Karin focuses largely on helping mission-driven individuals and organizations tell their stories and pursuing editorial projects in the social impact, mental health, and wellness spaces. She received her master’s degree in magazine writing and editing from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism.

  • Teresa Tomassoni

    (she/her/hers)

    STORY PRODUCER

    Teresa Tomassoni is an environmental journalist focused on climate, oceans, rainforests and Indigenous cultures. Her work has been published in Bloomberg Green, The Washington Post, NBC and The American Indian Magazine. Teresa is also a communications consultant, trainer and educator. Past clients include the U.S. State Department, UNESCO, Transparentem, the Population Services Bureau and The School of the New York Times.

    Teresa holds a master's degree in journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, and a bachelor's degree she earned from Long Island University while studying in Latin America and Asia.
